Eye-catching "Loading" status distracting #10

Every so often (5 minutes?) the calendar phones home (I assume) to see if
there are any updates. This is fine and dandy, but I don't really need to
know about it. My eye always catches the red "Loading" text and it
distracts from my current work. IMO, gadgets should be as unobtrusive as
possible. Can that be disabled?
