Google Calendar Gadget on Google Desktop ERROR: Your user name and password were incorrect. Please verify your credentials and try again #53

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Logging into GCal on Google Desktop - can't login with any google account
2. Turned two-factor authentication on and off - still nothing
3. Tried the app-specific passwords - still nothing

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect to login to GCal on Google Desktop

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Google Desktop on Windows 7

Please provide any additional information below.

GCal worked for years. Won't let me log in now. Says un and pw are incorrect. 
Please verify your credentials and login again. This gadget is awesome and I'm 
lost without it.
