What does 'connectivity' mean?

Is it a ping?

A HTTP connection?

How long is the connection?

Not much I can do with this tool if I don't know that.

Not a ping. It actually downloads the default HTTP object on the target site. 
If you go to google.com, for example, it will download the HTML text of the 
homepage (around 10 KB).
