2 months ago On the software part, I did my best to reduce these connection related issues. So it is likely that the issue is from other factors like Hardware or the Os. What i think the issue might be:-
- Windows Auto-Disconnect: If you are using Hotspot with Internet On, If windows thinks the Internet turned off, it will Automatically disconnects to Search for other Wifi's with Internet, Ultimately disconnecting the Server.
- Mobile Hardware: Some times i also noticed that these issue occurs alot in Lower end mobiles, Which can't process the load coming from network, this typically result's in high latency, might also result in disconnection.
- Network Traffic: It also might be because of the incapability of the network on high traffic situation, like multiple people connected and consuming high data.
It might also be some other issue, but i can't pin-point unless i know your setup in detail. Let me tell you some tips and work arounds.
- In Mobile Server section, long press the server to see the latency between your devices. Use it to benchmark the network or device.
- Remember by default, high latency above 5sec leads to disconnection, You can increase this timeout in App setting. This will keep the connection alive for the timeout even if the actual underlying connection like Wifi is broken, giving it some time to auto-reconnect!
Everything works well, the controller, the driver, the multiple devices, but there's no point in having all of that if the device KEEPS DISCONNECTING EVERY 2 SECONDS. It's really annoying, I thought it would be a great software but now there's no point in having it.
----- I added it to the firewall "or it wouldn't have worked in the first place", they're on the same network, and I installed the driver "ViGEm Bus Driver" and I also tried updating it to the last driver "1.22 instead of 1.18" and I also used touchscreen.exe as administrator, so I hope you don't just give me the common answers.
