When you use telephone say on your iMac with loudspeakers caller hear some echo obviously his own voice which is irratable much.

so i suggest to introduce some filtering of input adiou stream to reduce this echo and probably other noises.

I think this at least echo could be implemented with some dsp filters.

+1 - This should be fairly easy to add to Telephone, as the feature already exists in PJSIP:

I tried playing with PJSIP echo cancellation API, but with almost no result. Maybe I did something wrong, but it looked like it was completely useless.

Hello, there have been several releases of Telephone since this issue was created. Could you please download and run the latest version to confirm this issue still exists.

Sorry for the template response, just trying to clean up and close old issues here.

eofster commented 7 years ago

I believe it is much better now. Please tell me if it’s not and I’ll reopen the issue.

@eofster This is an issue for me - callers tell me that they hear themselves. Device: MacBook Pro 14-inch, 2021 Chip: Apple M1 Pro macOS: 13.3.1 (a) (22E772610a) Telephone version: Version 1.6 (143) I have a Telephone pro subscription.

Yeah, there is still echo. I think this issue should be reopened. (Version 1.6)
