Scribbling down what we have so far (all done using my puny amateur design skills), and what we need in the near future. Pardon the bad jokes, we're having beers at BRLO while doing this.
Current visual design, naming, branding
Founded the project on the eve of humans landing a probe on a comet. Somehow came to agree on the name 67P, the codename of that comet, for the intial codename of the project.
Later found our actual project name, staying with the space theme, so all our stuff can be spacey (but not Kevin)
Currently using the logo in some places like social media avatars and app home screen icons, but not even in all our apps or on the current "under-construction" website yet.
In regards to fonts, they have to be open-source, because all our apps are open-source and have to be able to be distributed anywhere by anyone anytime (and in space  ). We currently use mostly Open Sans.
Where people interface with Kosmos visually
As already linked above, we currently have:
A "temporary" "website" as an entry point to find stuff: https://kosmos.org/
A working prototype of our chat client application (responsive for both desktop and mobile): https://hyperchannel.kosmos.org
A wiki, which is currently just using the default theme and our icon/logo ,and which we would like to contain as much information about all parts of the project as possible: https://wiki.kosmos.org
What we need next
We might not exactly know in detail what we need or how to go about enhancing all aspects of our design, but here's what we think we need:
Something to give to people when talking about both Kosmos and Kredits with them. Ideally not a boring business card. Maybe a sticker, if it looks so good that people just want to put it on their laptops. Or maybe a small card, or maybe a sticker with a printed backside that can contain a little bit of info, like e.g. a web address or even a short sentence to describe the project(s).
Gorgeous, incredible, amazing, fabulous, ... avatars and app icons (the current one is suffering from a visual imbalance due to the visual center of the comet being different from the actual center of the object).
Some kind of color scheme and design language that we can use for all websites, apps, printed designs, etc.
Some way of branding to discern between Kosmos being the overarching project home and things like Kredits being able to stand on their own within the Kosmos family. I.e. you can use Kredits for your coop without using Kosmos for chat for example. Even though the two obviously will work well together.
