The Appindicator implementation does not work with the current GNOME version

It is likely we will need a "Gnome Shell Extension" written in JS/CSS: https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/GnomeShell/Extensions

A simple notification could also work, but would not be enough IMHO.

Other Opinions ? Other info ?
