So, I've made yet another port of Quake 3 engine to Android, which has
on-screen controls, automatically downloads game data, polished no less than
most commercial games, and is free (unlike other Quake 3 ports on Google Play,
which is a shame). It also supports gamepad/keyboard to some extent, but it's
primarily designed for touchscreen.
It uses data files from the OpenArena game, and subsequently called OpenArena.
The game virtual machine files were modified as well to support touchscreen, so
it's not compatible to ye goode olde Quake 3 CD, to desktop version of
OpenArena, and to all Quake 3/OpenArena servers around, however I could not
care less, because making PC players fight against players with
touchscreen/gamepad is a recipe for disaster. I'm hosting my own
Android-exclusive dedicated server to amend that (it's empty currently, because
there are too little players).
