Championship ties are broken via finishing position countback: The competitor with the most 1st place finishes wins. If still tied, the countback moves to 2nd place, 3rd place, and all subsequent finishing positions. If still tied, the competitor who held a lead last wins.
Currently, there is undefined behavior if a competitor has not participated in events at Thunderhill East or Laguna. There is also ambiguity about which layout of Thunderhill East will be used in the case where Cyclone and Bypass are both included in the schedule.
F1 does a countback of P1s, P2s, P3s, etc. If we adopt this, we could have a secondary tiebreak, which is whoever placed higher at the most recent (or first?) event where both participants attended.
