Hello
We're experiencing some situations ourselves where Google's Focus Mode just doesn't cut it. While we're not planning on implementing an exact clone of Google's Focus Mode, we have some early plans for hiding apps to improve productivity / wellbeing / comfort, but they're not very concrete yet.
Maybe this future feature will be able to substitute the Focus Mode.
I will leave this ticket open to allow for future discussions :ok_hand:
It's great you are considering something like this. Of course, it doesn't have to be like google focus mode. Something like this for sure will help many people and will aline with the principles of Niagara Launchers.. By the way, great job and keep it up. 🚀
Maybe this future feature will be able to substitute the Focus Mode.

I know the main phylosofies of Niagara are minimalism and productivity. It also try to help people to reduce or control their phone usage. Being the last one extremely important because people are becoming more addictive to their cellphones everyday.
Describe the solution you'd like
I think It would be great if Niagara has its own focus mode. The focus mode could be to freeze apps or notification for certain periods of time when you don't want distractions. A focus mode that don't relay on 3rd party apps and can bring the design and a more unique functionality. I know that many can complain that lots of phones have "digital wellbeing by Google;" however, it does not help people because it is very easy to avoid or stop, or many just uninstalled it because they dont use google products and loose that tool. Or, they dont know that they have that option.
Basically, it would be great if it have a stronger focus mode. Truly freezing apps from home creen. I really consider that this would really help many people because a have friends who complain that there is not something that truly freeze apps from homescreen. In order to control their impulses. Always, given the option to deactivate it from niagara setting, but at least, making it more difficult in order to demotivate the user to unfreeze them.
Here is just an idea of how it could be implemented. It could be a toggle to choose if you want to freeze apps or notifications.
