2 years ago It may be enough for most people, but we added it specifically for left-handed users, where scrolling on the left side is really useful. Closing this, as it's working as intended.
Why does it bother you though? After fast-scrolling to the correct letter on the sides, you can continue scrolling in the center to get to the correct app.

2 years ago I don’t think you understand what I am saying. I AM accidentally triggering the alphabet on the left side that is invisible. Why is the left side fast searching like the right side? It’s not a palm thing. I am trying to search within the alphabet I searched on the right side, but NL thinks I am fast searching again. I don’t see any advantage of fast searching the left side when it’s available right side. It slows everything down making a mistake and doing it all over again.
It isn’t just on the left edge. It happens if I am slightly left of the app column.
If you add the option to not fast search left side, the problem is solved. I don’t get this on any other app except yours. It is not my palm. It is my finger.
if you don’t understand, well, just call me and I’ll explain it better. I can’t video it to show you, but it should be no different on any phone.

Hi,
Used NL for a while. Notice that fast tracking is on both left and right side of screen. This creates problem when one is looking for exactly what they want after using right side to get to the right alphabet.
Understand what I am saying? Run your finger along left side of screen with NL on and you’ll see what I mean.
Can you turn this off, please? Just on right side is enough. Thanks.
