Unable to add/install web shortcut/PWA from Mull/Firefox browser #2548

Describe the bug

I'm trying to add www.Facebook.com/notifications as a shortcut from Mull (Firefox) and get an error or a loading screen that never resolves (see screenshots).

Last time I tried too add ut, it also gave me an error message after showing the Loading screen for a brief moment (see screenshot).

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install Mull (Firefox variant) I'm unsure, but I think Firefox is trying to add it as a PWA. It says "Install" rather than "Add shortcut" in Firefox, when I try to add it to Niagara.
  2. Open Mull and go to facebook.com/notifications
  3. Open context menu and choose "Install"
  4. Niagara then asks me to add it. Click Okay. 5. It then gives me a loading screen that never resolves (have waited for 2 minutes - haven't experienced the loading screen before when adding other shortcuts). Last time I tried too add ut, it also gave me an error message after showing the Loading screen for a brief moment (see screenshot).

Does the issue also occur with other 3rd-party launchers?

Just experienced it again. It might be connected to bad/intermittent internet, which is the case at my current connection.

This time after getting the error report card and closing it, I couldn't close the "Add to homescreen (Føj til startskærm)" popup/card. Neither by going back or home. Switching to another app worked, but returning to Niagara, the card persisted and back and home still didn't work.

I managed to resolve it by opening settings (from the notification shade), finding Niagara app and Forcing it to stop. I'm guessing a reboot would also have solved the issue.

I'm now using a Asus Zenfone 9 running Android 14.
