I use Muzei with a plug-in to get wallpapers that change about once a day on their own, more often if I trigger changes. Depending on the picture I get, I may want the offset on or off to best center the subject of the artwork.
The wallpaper offset seems to apply and remove itself at semi random as long as it's turned on in the options menu. I'll have had a background for most of a day and suddenly notice that the alignment has changed. I'll have to go in and turn offset off, back out to the launcher, open a different app, then go home again to ensure the new setting applied, then go back into settings to enable it and repeat launching a different app for it to apply. I say semi random because rebooting the phone seems to be a repeatable way to "break" the offset even though it's still on in the settings. The wallpaper changing on its own or manually only sometimes breaks the offset.
I realize this must be related to Muzei and or dynamic wallpapers, so if there's not an easy way to account for this, would it be possible to make the offset setting more easily accessible? I already have to manually change the setting often when I get new wallpapers, because I wouldn't expect a launcher to be able to detect the subject of an artwork and adjust itself to compensate. That part I'm fine with. I'd just like the offset to not "break" and disable itself without changing the slider up to a few times a day while I have it enabled.
Thank you.
Steps to reproduce
Use Muzei for wallpapers (I use the Pixiv plugin and have not tested with other plugins)
Enable wallpaper offset
Use the phone until the offset "breaks" (rebooting the phone should do it, but even just changing the wallpaper via Muzei seems to sometimes break it)
Test this by disabling the offset, going home and opening a different app, going home again, and then re-enabling offset, going home, and opening and closing a different app again. You may see that the offset was not actually being applied even though the slider had been on.
Does the issue also occur with other 3rd-party launchers?
