You have to compile it 1: Download the code 2: Open the folder in terminal 3: Type
./gradlew build
in the terminal 4: Wait until terminal says build completed 5: Go to build/libs and pick the .jar that doesn't say sources or dev or sources-dev. Do remember to use Download or use JDK 16 or if you want to use 17 then take a look at pull request #8
What Minecraft version is it?
