Media Foundation Transform #21

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Newest MS Media player does not support AC3Filter for MP3 input because now
MP3 is supported by use of Media Foundation.

Yeah this would be nice. Then we could play our WMV-HD files and get 5.1 audio
to our receivers that don't support WMA-Pro decoding(which is basically 99% of
all receivers
out there).

Yes please. Then we don't have to configure different players like Zoom to go
around
the media foundation.

I came here tracking the issue with dts/wave files on windows 7.
ac3filter is always my favorite and i really need it to work with them.

Yes please, need it very badly.
This is the only reason I don't use windows 7, because I have lots of dts-wav's.

Hasn't this been implemented in 1.63b?

Please implement this. It is the only option for mkv AND Live TV playback
without
messing with the registry and messing the whole system up.

Is this difficult to do? I desperately need this to work with media
foundation. I for one will gladly donate a great sum for a working filter.
And I am sure as others. Please help us!

Yes, I'll second that. This fix is valuable to me, and I will gladly donate, as
many others would as well.

If we can band together more avid fans to support our donation, we can push
them to get it done. I know there are lots of people in the same boat as I am.

It's not really that hard to also add MF support to DS decoders, MS has done
this with a few of the build in decoders already. This project is open source
so anyone could go ahead and add the support if they wanted to.

Can we get a professional response why this hasnt gotten more attention? So Im
guessing that we have to hope that Windows 8 will have DD and DTS support?
Here is my original post to thegreenbutton back in the day.
