Hello, are you able to login at web.whatsapp.com? If yes, please try to clear appdata of whatsapp web to go, this will force the reload of web.whatsapp.com internally
I use the official Windows client without any problem

I'm experiencing exactly the same issue as the one described by @ronz91. Both with 1.7.2 and 1.7.1.
In my case however WiFi is not at fault.
When accessing web.whatsapp.com in Firefox on the second device, at first the reloading circle appears along with the request to scan the barcode again on the primary device, but then immediately afterwards on the second device a new QR code appears, the reading of which successfully completing the login.
In the app the reloading circle continues to spin and a second QR code never appears. So, I guess this ticket needs to be reopened.
Not sure if this is related or can help, but during or after installation no permissions are requested, and I need to grant them myself from within the Settings.
@dadandalive pls check/report the following things:
- if webview is up to date (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.webview)
Ouch, the version was ancient (55.0.2883.91). I have now updated it to the latest version (99.0.4844.88) and login works!

I am unable to log into from a Beta account with the new multi-device support enabled.
When I scan the barcode it immediately switches to the reloading circle and the primary phone says scan barcode again.
Any help?
