Improve client to send to new numbers? #87

This app is fantastic as it allows one to use WhatsApp without having the apk installed on their phone. A modest proposal: make use of the API trick to enhance the web client to send messages to new numbers without forcing one to hand over contacts to Meta.

This trick: https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=XXXXXXXXXXX where the Xs are replaced by the country code and telephone works well on the web client. Could it be integrated with this app to have a "NEW MESSAGE" button?

"Open in WhatsApp" makes use of that trick but unfortunately requires users to have the proprietary WhatsApp apk installed on one's phone.

Hi @jacorizla Let me check, If it works for whatsapp web also it should be easy to add it

edit: as the link resolves to https://web.whatsapp.com/send?phone=xxxxxxxxxxx i guess it should work

Any news on this? It would be great if the "add number" feature could be added, or allow the link https://web.whatsapp.com/send?phone=xxxxxxxxxxx to be shared to it from a whatsapp dialler which works for whatsappweb. Thanks
