For those like me who used aws-vault daily but stopped because there haven’t been any releases since March 2023—which, for a tool that handles AWS credentials, must be kept up to date—here’s an excellent open source alternative: https://github.com/common-fate/granted

Since we're talking about alternative, Novops also helps you configure AWS temporary credentials with Roles and Profiles and is actively maintained :)
