`9 man -P man` displays a blank window, then refuses to terminate #545

Fresh (virgin) install on macOS 12.2 on macBookPro (intel). Tried to use the -P option. A window displaying a blank (all white) page results. CMD-Q did close the window, but the shell was wedged.

It ignored all the CTL- chars I was sending, except for CTL-T.
