I encountered unexpected behavior when trying to remap keys on a German keyboard. There seems to be a confusion between German and American keyboard layouts.

At least with German language, the windows installer of USDX does not display Umlauts correctly. They are just black boxes with a question mark inside.

Displaying the German Umlauts (äöüÄÖÜ) on a sitemap does not seem to be possible with the pebble app. Tried different encodings without success: UTF-8, UTF-16, Latin 1, Mac Roman, Windows.

Using `\usepackage[german]{babel}` it is possible to write the often-used German diacritics (such ä, or ö) as `"a` instead of `\"a`.
These are currently not supported, with no replacement happening…
