Hi,
Currently in 0.3.x
```
julia> q = Vector{Int}()
ERROR: type cannot be constructed
```
Any way to get this working in 0.3?

This preceeds a couple of related issues:

OK, I'm convinced we need them. Opening this up to track.

Don't have a julia version of the graph_tools module

Currently this only uses CSC matrices and has only been tested on that. But you could have the adjacency matrix stored in a LightGraphs.jl or Graphs.jl Graph data structure.

My LightGraphs.jl code started failing tests around 6/30. Before that date, it was working. The problem is in this code:

edgecollection = out_edges(g, j)
degj = outdegree(g, j)

The `compose` function shadows `Compose.jl`'s primary function, `compose`, which makes it very difficult to work with together, e.g. when drawing custom graph layouts building upon `GraphLayout.jl`.
