As far as I know the gun position was a bit off in the early days of 0.6 but it got fixed in some 0.6 minor realse. But it seems like this change was reverted or not ported to 0.7.

Whenever a friend tries to replace ddnet.png in entities_clear folder with my entites, game reads old file i guess

in my test case it was BlmapChill, a very big and old map.
