There are two named settings that pertain to soundfonts...
1. There's a path called "SF2 DIRECTORY"
2. There's a path called "DEFAULT SOUNDFONT FILE"
 leads to spacemacs hanging.

Portage defaults to network sandbox when building packages. As Nerd fonts downloads font during during build, it fails. Therefore the ebuild is broken
