Possible solution

Hour and number input

Insert hh:mm in the time as numbers

Drop down menu

Show a drop down menu for the duration with a list of: 30 min 1 h 1h and 30 min 2 h ...

Both drop down and editable with number input from keyboard with an end time

Like in calendar (for mac and other calendar apps) we can have a dropdown menu with "hints" but the user can also enter the numbers directly
