Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

Huge black zones are appeared in some tracks, e.g. tracks with snow, sand, ice,
etc. (all OW*, D*, I*, M* tracks)

It bug appears on any preset settings of graphics.

Looks like terrain shader didn't compile. And this gpu is quite good I think.
We need ogre.log attached (like always) from one track that has this.
This looks even more strange since the terrain is ok close to camera, but turns
black after some distance.

I doubt its composite map (not so close), could it be some fog params error ?

please post an ogre.log where you actually loaded the track. (the one you
posted is just from entering the menu and then quitting)

This line looks strange for me:
 * Supported Shader Profiles: arbfp1 arbvp1 glsl gp4gp gpu_gp nvgp4 ps_1_1 ps_1_2 ps_1_3 ps_1_4
For comparison, mine is (gtx 560 Ti):
* Supported Shader Profiles: arbfp1 arbvp1 fp20 fp30 fp40 glsl gp4fp gp4gp
gp4vp gpu_fp gpu_gp gpu_vp nvgp4 vp30 vp40

So clearly you haven't the needed shader models supported on your card.
But there aren't any exceptions from terrain shader compiling, odd, and some
tracks work, hmm maybe because of less layers used.

can you run the ogre terrain demo (OgreSampleBrowser) ?

So, I run that test. Errors appeared in "Particle essects (GPU)" (it say, my
video card does not support vertex buffers). Also, I noticed, that test
"Terrain" have bug (feature?), like in stuntrally: terrain turns black after
some distance..

PS: test "Texture array" drops segmentation fault
PPS: my english is awesome %)
