Problem Statement #2

In the world of farming, it's tough to identify plant diseases using traditional methods. But if we can automatically and accurately spot these diseases in plants, it would be a game-changer. This not only helps farmers identify problems faster but also increases crop yield, cuts production costs, and ultimately brings down food prices. So, finding better ways to detect plant diseases is crucial for a healthier and more affordable food supply. Between 20% to 40% of global crop production is lost to pests annually. Each year, plant diseases cost the global economy around $220 billion, and invasive insects around $70 billion, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
