Feature Inquiry - Standalone DeluxeTable #119

I'm currently working on my PhD thesis and would love to use the DeluxeTable environment in AASTeX6 within my prepared latex class template without overwriting it with AASTeX fully. Is there a way to do this as a stand-alone class file?

It should be noted that the deluxetable.sty (available on the AASJournals github from 2016) currently does not work and returns the following error upon compilation:

hi @JPGlaser;

We don't have the bandwidth to support pulling out a deluxetable.sty (updated with all the v6 features) right now.

I'm not sure what you mean by, "the deluxetable.sty (available on the AASJournals github from 2016". On all of github I find only this version https://github.com/odysseus9672/deluxetable.sty which is a lightly edited version of this one https://fits.gsfc.nasa.gov/standard30/deluxetable.sty

for what its worth, the error you give in your post does not appear to be related to deluxetable, but I'm now sure how I could help you with interactions between your university's latex template and a package we don't (yet) support.

let me know if you have further questions or if I can close this issue.

Sorry for the late reply @augustfly ,

That is indeed the distro that I pulled it from as it is what AASJournals directs users to when wishing to use deluxetable in isolation. I actually got this specific issue fixed up (it was indeed nothing to do we deluxetable and instead with how Overleaf was importing packages). However, I haven't been able to get a split command to work similar to the 'B' parameter in AASTeX.sty v6+. Was there an old way of doing this before v6?
