Acknowledgments overflow page #142

Hi there,

I am using aastex631 (\documentclass[twocolumn,linenumbers]{aastex631}) and I have a very long list of acknowledgments. When I use the

\begin{acknowledgments}
....
\end{acknowledgments}

it always overflows the column and never extends to the following column or page. I am wondering if I am doing something wrong? Thanks in advance!

You are not doing anything wrong. This is a bug with the acknowledgment environment which will be fixed in the next round. You only need to use this environment if you want to suppress the acknowledgments when using the "anonymous" command. If you are not doing dual anonymous review, then you don't have to use this. You can either just type in your acknowledgments or if you want a section header use "\section{Acknowledgments}".

Thank you for the prompt response, I'll do that then!
