add computing facilities to \facility{} #49

Open zingale opened 7 years ago

AASTeX has the \facility{} macro to allow the author to specify observational facilities. This helps facilities aggregate the papers that made use of their service.

Can the same be done for Computational facilities? e.g., NERSC: http://www.nersc.gov/ OLCF: https://www.olcf.ornl.gov/ ALCF: https://www.alcf.anl.gov/ ...

(there are probably dozens or hundreds more)

This (adding archives and computational facilities) has been approved by the EiC and an update is in the works. Thank you for the starter list! @gregschwarz

The macro doesn't know anything about the controlled vocab, so strictly speaking this is a documentation/typesetting/production issue to update/fix and not a change to be made to AASTeX.

I have added the 3 computational centers mentioned by @zingale to our facility keyword list. That list is available here:

http://journals.aas.org/authors/aastex/facility.html

These new entries are at the bottom but you can find them easily either via the "Search" bar or sorting the last column, "Computational Center". This column, and the "Archive/Database" one before it, is new and added to help identify these types of facilities out of the almost 500 facilities in the list.

I currently count 4 databases, 4 archives and 7 computing facilities in the list (now at this URL: https://journals.aas.org/facility-keywords/). I'm marking this "fixed" but leaving it open a little longer to see if we get other suggestions
