By the way, currently, AAVSO does not distinguish between CCD and CMOS observation (both types are considered CMOS). This is an offtopic for the issue, yet, probably, in the (nearest) future, a new obs type will be required...
Good point. I noticed the DSLR issue when I loaded some of my own photometry into VStar and wanted to compare different image processing approaches.
As per https://www.aavso.org/aavso-extended-file-format:
OBSTYPE: The type of observation in the data file. It can be CCD, DSLR, PEP
So, for the purpose of this issue, I'll add DSLR.
This is probably just because DSLR wasn't a valid OBSTYPE when I wrote this (a long time ago).
