Would you mind adding a bit of information about the planned analyses, necessary skills, and skills you could use help with in this project? It should make it easier for prospective collaborators to determine how and if they can contribute. Specifically, our new template has sections named "Tools and algorithms to be used", "Skills we could use help with", and "Link to analysis plan" (if you have been working on a more detailed plan than would fit in this issue).
Hi @cassandrajustinelowe! Checking in to see if this project is still open. If you plan to make a Project Plan presentation about this project on Monday March 8th please let me know. Thanks!
Hi Jessica,
No one signed up for this project. So I joined another group. You can close it.

Is the association between childhood obesity and white matter tract moderated by SES, physical activity patterns, sleep duration, or screen time?
Research question(s)
Description
Obesity during childhood has been linked to alterations in the structure of the brain, including white matter tract integrity. Children living with obesity typically show lower white matter microstructure, and alternations in structural connectivity between the striatum and prefrontal cortex, in particular. These alternations are thought to contribute to observed executive dysfunction and preference for immediate rewards observed in persons with obesity. However, it currently remains unclear whether SES and modifiable lifestyle factors can attenuate the adverse effects of obesity on white matter microstructure. The intention of the proposed project is to address this question using the ABCD dataset and probabilistic fiber tractography.
