Unable to find correct ACS files. #1

Dear repo members,

I was attempting to work through the Gen_data_proc.R script and build the relevant databases, but ran into some missing file issues. I could identify the relevant files needed related to the ADI - area deprivation index elements of the script.

There are three different sets of files, including: e_path <- 'ACS/tab4/sumfile/prod/2010thru2014/group2/' g_path <- 'ACS/geography/' s_path <- 'ACS/seq/'

I can find the seq files here, but the e_path and g_path weren't present anywhere I could see on the ACS website. There are some ACS supplemental files here, but I don't think that was it.

Does anyone know where these files/directories are accessed, etc.? Any help is deeply appreciated!

Thanks much, Jamie.

Hi Jamie,

Sorry for the confusion. The ACS is indeed a mess, so the summary file paths are not necessary organized in one single accessible path. Nevertheless, the seq, geography, and summary tables should all in one of the "entire_sf" zip files. You will need to unzip them and then refer to the corresponding path.

Best, Chun
