Unable to login - errors immediately before SteamGuard can be approved #24

I just deleted the original non-working FriendsOfGalaxy-version and installed the latest beta.

With this I'm not available to login:

Steps to reproduce:

  1. I enter username and password in the settings
  2. The dialog closes
  3. The dialog opens again within 1 or 2 seconds with the message that the login is not correct: You have entered your username or password incorrectly. Please check your username and password and try again. The data I entered is definitely correct.
  4. I receive a Steam Guard notification to allow the login, which is too late because the login failed already.

Having the exact same issue w/ same steps to reproduce. Starfiresg1 posted the above about 2 minutes before I googled for a solution.

Edit: Was able to get it working. I went through the steps of the manual windows install again, and afterward ran Gog Galaxy 2.0 as Admin. The process was successful. I was able to connect my games and launch from within GOG.

@Starfiresg1 Please try the new 1.0.6 beta release. I updated the zips with a patch.

I can confirm that the new beta fixes the login issue. Thanks for the fast response.
