At ITSC-20 Vincent Guidard of Meto-France proposed an intercomparison exercise for IASI in operational global NWP systems. The idea is for each centre to carry out a control trial which uses each centre's operational setting and a twin trial in which IASI observations are denied.
A number of operational NWP centres agreed to participate in the intercomparison trial, including the Bureau. This ticket describes the experimental setup used in the Bureau's contribution, analysis of the results and some conclusions.
