The SURF build in /projects/access/nwpdir/share/APS3/SURF/vn32.0.0 is missing the etc directory. See for example /home/548/sjr548/cylc-run/r36_r_stem_mods/share/fcm_make_surf_x86_64_ifort_opt_mirror/build/etc Can this directory be copied across? It is required for running tasks like reading ascat bufr files.

hi Xiao

can you do this copy ? Or shall I ask someone else to ?

Note Susan added your new email address rather than the standard one, now fixed.

Hi Xiao Do you have time to do this now? i.e. copy the etc directory into the APS3 surf32.0 build Thanks Susan

Thanks for copying the directory Xiao. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like mkmdblseq.sh ran at the end to create the MDBLSEQ file i.e. build/bin/../etc/ops/src/code/MetDB_Bufr_Retrieval/tables/MDBLSEQ If you look at your branch's rose-stem/bin/fcm-make there should be a command to run mkmdblseq.sh at the end. (this was later moved to an fcm-make-surf script.) Hopefully your job.out would say if there was an error doing this? The alternative is to copy from my directory /home/548/sjr548/cylc-run/r36_r_stem_mods/share/fcm_make_surf_x86_64_ifort_opt_mirror/build/etc

Thanks Susan

Xiao ran from the command line to create the MDLBSEQ file. This is now working correctly.
