Starting from ops-2016.11.0 and var-2016.11.1 RTTOV-11 replaced RTTOV-9. Also RTTOV-11 is now linked as an external library.

This ticket describes modifications to allow the build of RTTOV-11 on Terra.

As of the 2017.07 OPS builds, where RTTOV12 and RTTOV11 are both required, the version of RTTOV11 that is needed to compile OPS is this one:

This is installed under the name rttov/11.3b_ifort???? where ???? denotes the compiler version.
