Missing/corrupted CICE diagnostic fields #343

Using /short/p66/pbd562/archive/al623/history/ice/iceh.0201-12.nc as an example

Grid box mean variables like

 HI_M     grid cell mean ice thickness
 AICE_M   ice area  (aggregate)

plot ok.

However ice category variables like

AICEN_M  ice area, categories

give errors
