This is an emissions driven SSP1-2.6 experiment, but with CO2 emissions modified to hit a specified temperature target.

• 1850-2014 CMIP6 emissions driven, including land cover change
• 2015-2020 uses historical CO2 emissions, SSP1-2.6 for non-CO2 forcing and land cover
• 2021-2025 uses CO2 emissions from nationally determined contributions, SSP1.2.6 otherwise
• 2026-2030 and later 5 year blocks use CO2 emissions from AERA algorithm, SSP1.2.6 otherwise

Provides global annual mean emissions for 2015-2025. Use these to scale the historical 2014 emissions/g/data/p66/txz599/data/ancil/CMIP6/CO2_fluxes_ESM_1750_2014.anc.

Required inputs from the model are

• Timeseries of annual mean global mean surface (or surface air) temperature from 1850 (K)
• Timeseries of global mean CO2 concentration (ppm)
• Timeseries of CO2 emissions from land use and cover change from historical + SSP1.2.6 (Pg C / yr)

Other supplied inputs

• Timeseries of aggregated radiative forcing of all non CO2 agents
• CO2 equivalent emissions of the above
• Time series of N2O

Based on a modified version of the ESM1.5 experiment SSP-EDC-585-03 (which followed HI-EDC-03).

Modified to use CO2 emissions /g/data/p66/mrd599/CO2_fluxes_AERA_ABS1p5-03.anc. This file is initially the scaled emissions for 2015-2024 and then updated as run progresses.
