Data look really good. No obvious major issues. I think this is a nice clean pass. I'll wait until someone else has independently checked this before moving it to the 'Done' pile.

Only minor issue is that the beam is a bit larger than we'd like (2.13" x 1.52"). This variation seems fairly common unfortunately, and I guess we'll be smoothing the data to a common beam at some point anyway.

The line cubes for this one look anywhere from fine to great, but the continuum is totally borked (RMS ~ 0.01 microJy). I'm going to remove those and try reimaging. Weird - I've not seen this issue on any other data set.

keflavich commented 1 year ago

Reimaging did not improve the continuum images. There must be something else wrong with the .ms files

keflavich commented 1 year ago

OK this was a very simple and stupid issue: the datacolumn being used is data, not corrected. This would be fine if the _target.ms was being used, but it's not because it doesn't exist.

This points to an underlying problem in the script writer that I think I've now fixed in 11d47a6.

keflavich commented 1 year ago

Latest problem: No continuum imaging scripts exist. Debugging that.

QA - Line contamination in continuum images from high/low frequencies version 2 (Apr2024)

Summary: looks ok to me
