Issues noted by staff during pipeline run:
Operator log indicates thicker clouds and API measurements increasing as the observation progressed, and there is clearlydecorrelation on the complex gain calibrator based on Amp vs. UVwave plots of calibrated data: this is primarily from scan='27,35\~65,69\~73'.
ea10 has weights that are much higher than other antennas for spw='2\~5,12\~16,24\~30' for scan='31\~55.
ea10 shows low and spread gain amplitude solutions for scan='8\~22'.
ea28 shows some spws with lower gain amplitude solutions.
Overall I think this is fine?
As noted above, ea10 does have some lower amplitudes in earlier scans, but nothing crazy:
The majority of antennas seem to have a pretty large phase spread. Probably just related to the weather, as noted above? E.g.:
As noted in the operator log, there appears to have been decorrelation due to bad weather.
We discussed this during the previous telecon, and Walker noted that this is evident when looking at the flux of the phase calibrator (J1744) in stages 12 and 19 of the weblog. See the screenshot below and note the ~ 12% difference between the fluxes.
The operator notes that this is primarily from scans 27,35~65,69~73
. I'm not sure if this can be calibrated out, or something that necessitates re-observation? @eacmills
I had set the calibration and imaging running in the background. But I just checked and it had failed. It looks like I downloaded the wrong product version, which didn't have the visibilities included ... 🤦♂️
Re-downloading the correct version now.
Initial continuum imaging has finished. I've added a quick comparison with some different datasets below.
Not a lot of structure in this region, though the sources that are seen match well with the MeerKAT image (green contours in all panels).
