Radio fuses on anti missiles prematurely detonate when the missile going towards it is fast (?) [BUG] #356

Open LengthenedGradient opened 1 year ago

LengthenedGradient commented 1 year ago

Short Description

It is quite consistently produced when firing a faster missile (e.g. hellfire) at a basic antimissile stinger rig, with antimissile guidance and a radio fuse (of any size tmk)

Branch and Version

Latest commit serverside (https://github.com/Stooberton/ACF-3/commit/68bd1aa93e3ff7d7c059809edddc250828e8231a) Latest commit clientside (https://github.com/Stooberton/ACF-3/commit/68bd1aa93e3ff7d7c059809edddc250828e8231a)

Console Error Logs (Optional)

No errors werr printed to console

How to Reproduce (Optional)

  1. Make a rig that fires a stinger when it detects a missile on a missile radar (don't link the radar to the rack)
  2. Configure your ammo with normal settings (max propellant and projectile length and he filler), and use antimissile guidance with a radio fuse (say 100u just for the sake of consistency).
  3. Fire a relatively fast missile at it (try hellfire for sake of consistency)

Screenshots (Optional)

image As you can see, the stinger detonates before the hellfire gets remotely close

Additional Information (Optional)

It does not seem to trigger on slower ATGMs like AT3s; chances are the radio fuse is "overestimating" the predicted position of the missile it's trying to fuse? I'm not sure
