[Feature Request] Domain whitelists #34

Open jnko opened 10 months ago

jnko commented 10 months ago

In the description and screenshots is montioned that it is possible to add domains to a whitelist.

How can I do this? Unfortunately there is no add-on preferences page in FF.

The functionality has been added to the main repo but has not been pushed to the Firefox addon store until more beta testers confirm that the crashing issue has been fixed. Please follow the instructions here https://github.com/ACK-J/Port_Authority/issues/32#issuecomment-1720072034 to get the latest version installed in your browser and reach out if you experience any bugs. If you don't see any issues then we should be ready for a mass roll out.

Having loaded up the git version of the extension, I'm having problems with the allowlist working for sites with nonstandard ports. For example, 192.168.1.1:8000 will error out every time. I know this feature works, because I've enabled it for www.intel.com, whose driver & support assistant tool needs an exception to properly work.
