The release is in the new Google Maven Repository:
http://code.google.com/p/google-maven-repository/source/browse/#svn/repository/c
om/google/collections/google-collections/0.8

It should be replicated to the central Maven Repository some time soon, once
replication is set up.

As part of the move to the new repository, we updated some pom.xml parameters,
including

  <groupId>com.google.collections</groupId>
  <artifactId>google-collections</artifactId>
  <version>0.8</version>

I was unable to have maven successfully pull the new version. I used:

* The new artifact coordinates (artifact/group/version) you listed above.
* Repository URL of
http://google-maven-repository.googlecode.com/svn/repository/
$ mvn --version:
Maven version: 2.0.9
Java version: 1.5.0_16
OS name: "linux" version: "2.6.24-19-generic" arch: "i386" Family: "unix"

Output:

[WARNING] POM for 'com.google.collections:google-collections:pom:0.8:compile' is
invalid. It will be ignored for artifact resolution. Reason: Not a v4.0.0 POM.
for
project com.google.collections:google-collections at
/home/steven/.m2/repository/com/google/collections/google-collections/0.8/google
-collections-0.8.pom
[INFO] Unable to read jar manifest from

I suppose replication should do just fine though, once that is working.

I'm not sure what changes you made, and when, but *now* I can pull 0.8 from
google-maven-repository, and it is java 1.5 compatible. Thanks!

Thanks!!

Synchronization with the central repository is finally working:

http://repo1.maven.org/maven-google/com/google/collections/google-collections/0.
8/

That isn't the central repository. That's a new repository at
http://repo1.maven.org/maven-google (it just happens to be on the same host as
m2
central). How is this any different from the svn-based google-maven-repo?

Here's the correct location. Sorry about that.
