ASC vocabulary: Experiment techniques #37

Include Data source -> 'Experiment' -> 'Experiment type' + 'Experiment technique'.

@brissebrat Can you include the list of experiment techniques from the LADP database?

These should be included in the vocabulary as a sub-category to 'Experiment technique'.

Members of the "experiment type" category obviously refer to instrument types used in the experiment, not so much to procedures used to conduct the experiment, e.g. "reaction rate study". We will therefore ensure that instrument types listed above are included in the ACTRIS vocabulary, and have an additional link listing the ones above as "experiment technique".

Questions:

Is infrared spectroscopy the same as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy?
It appears that the list includes items at the same hierarchy level that should appear at different hierarchy levels. For example, aerosol mass spectrometer is included in mass spectrometer .
is _pulsed laser photolysis- normally combined with laser induced fluorescence?
What is the relative rate method?

All other items have been included as experiment technique.

May I suggest that you look at the existing concepts from CHMO - Chemical Methods Ontology such as

CHMO_0000228 - spectroscopy
- CHMO_0000470 - mass spectrometry
  And their children concepts.

Even if these concepts are not used in ASC voc, it could be useful to associate them to these concepts in ASC with skos:closeMatch
