Nothing showing on Apple IIc during transfer #175

Greetings. I'm attempting to us ADTPro version 2.1.0 on Windows 11. I've tried two different USB Serial devices both unsuccessfully.

Firstly, a "BENFEI USB to Serial Adapter, USB to RS-232 Male (9-pin) DB9 Serial Cable, Prolific Chipset" from Amazon connected to this "Apple IIc Serial Cable for ADTPro Transfer 1m 3ft Adapter Converter Null Modem" from eBay. Nothing shows up on the Apple IIc during or after the transfer.

Secondly, I tried a "SABRENT USB 2.0 to Serial (9-Pin) DB-9 RS-232 Adapter Cable 6ft Cable [FTDI Chipset] (CB-FTDI)" from Amazon connected to the same Null Modem adapter from eBay. When these cables are connected, the Apple IIc will not boot. I disconnect the two cables, boot the IIc, connect the cables, and enter all the commands. As expected, the behavior is the same, nothing shows on the display during transfer.

I've tried both scenarios on three different IIc's just to be thorough.

Your suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

With new (or different) USB-RS232 cables, you'll want to pay attention to which COM device appears as a result of plugging one in. So if you know for sure that COM5 appears when you plug in cable X for example, then you'll want to be sure to set up the server to use COM5 (substituting whatever COM port actually represents your cable).

There's approximately a million other things to check, but you didn't say anything about your COM port setup - which is the first thing to check on Windows.
