I think this project has been abandoned, or indefinitely put on hold. That said, while you can do so with Xbox applications, they're compiled for x64. W10M apps however, are not and are ARM64 usually. The effort to run said applications on Intel based systems are not trivial.
For ARM64 based Windows copies, perhaps this would work? I doubt it would be that easy though, or trivial to implement.
I am talking of course about ARM64 windows.

http://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Xbox_One_emulators It is possible to modify Xbox One/Series UWP via a simple tweak to work on desktop PC. This should be able to do this for Windows 10 Mobile apps.
