Setting cloud simulation with a user-defined atmosphere profile #70

Hello, dear colleagues!

I use lblrtm 12.16. My running case consists of a user-defined temperature and humidity profiles and also cloud profiles (g/m3). The gas profiles are set to the standard winter middle latitude. When the lblrtm read and create cloud profile, it set the temperature and humidity profiles to zero. At these simulation settings, NaN values for the atmospheric transmittance were obtained.

If I set temperature and humidity profiles to the standard winter middle latitude atmosphere, the result of transmittance is normal.

I attached TAPE5 and TAPE6 to the message.

What can I do to complete my simulation?

On input Record 1.2, set IAERSL = 5. Then you will have to provide a file called "in_lblrtm_cld" that contains cloud optical depths as a function of wavenumber for each of the cloud layers, which must align with the layers specified for the atmosphere. Please see the section in the LBLRTM instructions called "Spectral Absorption by Layer", which provides the details on formatting the required input text data in the file "in_lblrtm_cld".
