Fix the last NaN in ipole #75

There goes the last NaN that ipole will ever see Who knows if we hadn't fixed it what could've been There goes the last transport instability It's been a marvelous time, ruining everything

As this seems to address both recent reports of NaNs in entirety, I will merge (but not before quickly noting/issuing the challenge that as far as we know, this is still the last NaN in ipole).
