4 years ago Note that the color swatches in the kit of parts are not available for purchase. So when testing the color sensor, use care not to damage or misplace them, as we need as much color material for the Control Panel as possible.
Update: We've found a 3rd party vinyl color wheel which we'll purchase. The colors won't necessarily exactly match the official game material, but should be close.
Also, a printable sample can be found in Google Drive. The color of a printed sample may vary significantly depending on the printer used, but this may be useful for early testing.
Create a subsystem for the Control Panel spinner. Details of the mechanism are not yet determined, but it will likely consist of a motor to spin the Control Panel, a color sensor, and possibly a motor, servo, or pneumatic cylinder to engage the spinner wheel to the Control Panel. The subsystem will eventually contain methods to interface with all of the elements of the mechanism.
This task involves creating the subsystem and implementing the code to interface with the Rev Robotics color sensor included in the 2020 Kit of Parts. This class can provide methods that will enable a way to test the color sensor.
