macOS installation README update + minor refactor #81

As the new release includes a binary installer for macOS, I have updated the installation steps in the README.

To preserve consistency, I also refactored some of the installation steps for the other operating systems, but the steps remained the same.

As these are just README updates, there is no need to run the CIs for this PR.

Perhaps this can be avoided by adding [no ci] to the PR title. Not sure how PRs are best handled in this case.

@smistad Changes were approved but PR was not merged.

CI is not starting, and thus a report is not generated, which I believe might be because I added [no ci] to each commit. I do not think a report is needed for this PR.
